Generó (Manlleu, 1954)

Self-taught. Very soon becomes a member of El Cloquer (Artists Association of Vic and region).
Author of several posters -standing out the one of the "84 Volta Ciclista a Catalunya" in 2004- as well as covers of books, magazines, publications and lithography's.
He has participated in numerous painting competitions.
During his career he has used several techniques, like acrylic, and especially oil.
His works have been exhibited in Barcelona, Madrid, Sevilla, Vic, Girona, Olot, Sabadell, Puigcerdà, La Coruña, Palma de Mallorca... ans also in Italy, Portugal and Japan.

"The painting of Generó, intense, brave and striking is, at the same time, sensitive and lyrical.
The artist possesses an innate sense of colour, treating it with force, playing with equilibrium of light and, almost without defining, makes reality stand out.
In his more or lees classical composition themes, he uses a technique that gives them a very modern result."

PRIZES

From 1984 to 1990 he participates in several Fast Painting competitions, achieving forty prizes in this period. From this date on he stops participating in competitions.
